If you have a BMW R1200GS parked in the garage, now might be a good time to go an check on it. It appears as though there has been an issue identified with the guard that covers the brake lever.
The gist is that when twisted or mounted incorrectly, the guard can press down on the brake leading to the brake to obviously be activated. Additionally, it looks like a few accidents have been attributed to the problem. BMW is considering this to be ‘rider error’ not a mechanical issue, so checking it is up to riders.
